I am currently doing course work on the Life of David and we are now in 1Samuel 26.
Through this course I have found some similarities to David and myself but that is not the point of this blog post.
The point of this post is the recognizing what hinders us from being a worshipful Christian. In 1Sam 26 we see David doing his own thing and not seeking out God’s will for his life. As a result we see a period of drought in David’s writing. Now here is a man with the reputation for writing some of the most beautiful music played for God in the history of man and for a year and a half he wrote not one line in worship of the Heavenly Father. It begs us to consider if we are not feeling moved to worshipm God perhaps there is something in the way that we need to let go of first.
